What commission rates do you offer to brokers?Commission on privately funded mortgages are negotiated and charged by the broker to the client. First Equity protects originating brokers with payment upon closing from closing proceeds. On a case by case basis finder fees can be built into pricing.
How quickly can deals be approved and funded?Every private deal is unique, where a private residential mortgage can be submitted and funded in days, compared to a more complicated commercial mortgage that could take a full month to gather all the necessary information and more specialized reports to close. The more prepared and complete your mortgage submission, the faster the mortgage can close.
What are your minimum deal requirements?Residential mortgages from $25,000 to $3 million with larger amounts considered selectively. Commercial mortgages from $500,000 to $50 million.
Do you provide broker support, guidance and instruction? With over 30 years of experience, we pride ourselves on our ability to quickly assess and quote your deals. We support you by providing sound advice, guidance, and direct you so as to be as efficient and prepared as you can be, regardless of your level of expertise.

Are there any upfront costs? It depends on the size and complexity of the transaction. For residential deals, there are usually no upfront costs until we provide a term sheet or commitment. With larger transactions as well as commercial and construction deals, it is common for a fee to apply upon acceptance of a term sheet and upon commitment. Also, depending on the size and complexity of the request, a non-refundable fee is not uncommon.
